Mahesh Modi is a Mumbaikar who owns a 50-acre farm in Panagar, Jabalpur (M.P.) certified organic by MPSOCA, NPOP. Jabalpur’s belt has the most fertile soil in Asia. It all started when his 34+ yr old IT business ( got an opportunity to undertake the government project of preparing Election ID card for citizens in Jabalpur district and 6 other surrounding villages in 1995.

Same year he purchased this land and with the help of agricultural experts he planted 1000 mango trees (13 varieties), 700 amla trees, 125 chikko trees, 150 trees of amrut / guava (peru), 400 teakwood (sagwan) trees, 400 khamer trees, and some trees of lemon, cherry, jamun, sehtoot, coffee, cashewnut, khajur, falsa, katal all of which are 22+ yrs old. He also grows orange, wheat, rice (poha variety), chana, moong, urad, rahar, tuur, watermelon, cucumber, lauki. His produce see high demand beyond supply from cities like Mumbai, Jaipur, Delhi, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Amravati, Pune … etc .He has been awarded 1st price for fruit plantation by MP District Level Horticulture Dept from 2000 to 2004 and 1st prize for Mangoes by State government in 2006.

In 2016, Mr. Mahesh shifted his full-time focus from IT to 100% chemical-free organic farming under Sadhguru’s (Isha Foundation & Rally For Rivers) guidance & Dr. Subhash Palekar (Zero Budget Natural Farming - ZBNF) along with his brother Brij Bihari Modi & his son Ankit Modi (IT Technical Expert). Brij Bihari Modi & Mahesh resides at the farm itself and take care of all management while Ankit takes care of online activities. They have been getting great support & mentoring from various government departments and private consultants with a vision to make this 50 acre farm into a profitable model for all farmers and subsequently farm at larger lands. Every agriculture expert or common man who has ever visited this farm has one common thing to say “We have never seen such diverse plantations, beautiful landscaping and unlimited resources at any farm across M.P.”

In 2018, they planted 5000 trees of bamboo (baas), 700 trees of mango, 1200 trees of guava, 5000 trees of Teakwood and 100 trees of jamun. The farm is equipped with tractor, trolley, rotavator, power tiller, seedrill, earth auger, drip, sprinklers .. etc.
In 2019, they partnered with one of the biggest agriculture university – Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyala (JNKVV), Jabalpur, MP for practicing & promoting organic farming. Besides farming, Modi’s are in process to setup food processing unit.
